ABOUT
OUR ORCHARD
Fonthill Family Fruit Farm was established in 2022 and is dedicated to sustainably growing the healthiest fuit possible. Our barn store (closed for the season) has Niagara grown fruit and produce, farm-fresh eggs, locally-made honey, fresh-pressed apple cider, preserves, pies, baked goods, and more! In our orchards we grow cherries, plums, pears, and over 20 varieties of apples, and we have planted over 50 new and rare cultivars, and we're still growing! We have also established the FFFF New Fruit Developlment Initiative and are breeding our very own varieties! We're closed for the season but our barn store will be open again in the summer featuring the freshest food Niagara has to offer!!!!

The produce at our barn is locally grown and changes through the season. If you're looking for something particular, give us a call ahead of time to ensure we have it. We are currently closed for sales until summer 2025.
During the off season we're focusing on the New Fruit Development Initiative by germinating the hand pollinated directed hybridizing efforts started last year and propagating cuttings to plant in the spring.
Tree pruning and tractor maintenance are currently underway and we're planning to have our second annual FFFF February Freeze Farewell towards the end of the month.
Also, we will be offering some tree pruning workshops in March, details to be announced as the season develops.
Later this year we will begin to offer guided educational tours with picking opportunities dependent on fruit availability, these will not be "pick your own" type experiences. We're also going to allow some orchard spaces be utilized for photography, however due to the varied terrain of our orchards liability forms must be signed before gaining access.
